Compliance and Integrity

Integrity begins with us!

Complying with legal and regulatory requirements is a challenge we meet in all countries where we operate. However, we not only rise to this challenge but go beyond it, because we make compliance and integrity a core, daily priority for our associates.

Sonepar is committed to the highest ethical, social, and environmental standards. We aim to be a responsible corporate citizen in all countries where we operate.

Sonepar’s Code of Conduct

Sonepar’s Code of Conduct is the cornerstone for all compliance and integrity issues within the Group. It has been designed to guide our decisions and behaviors.

Our Code of Conduct has evolved over time. The latest version, dated December 2024, reflects new trends and best practices as well as topics of growing importance such as competition law, human rights and duty of vigilance. It stems from Sonepar’s risk mappings and double-materiality analysis under the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

The Code of Conduct applies to all associates, without exception, everywhere, and covers all our activities, in every country where we operate. To ensure it is understood and enforced by all, it will be available in 17 different languages.

Sonepar expects the same commitment from its business partners. As such, specific standards are set out in a dedicated Business Partners Code of Conduct, which replaces the Supplier Code of Conduct. In addition, the Group uses procedures and tools to assess the integrity of its business partners.
